Okinawa Kenjin Kai - Chijinshuu

We offer traditional Eisa (Okinawa folk dance), Taiko (drums), Sanshin (guitar) Koto (stringed instrument) as well as Ryu Kyuan (singing) training and we perform throughout the Puget Sound area.

Practices are open to newcomers of any age and level who have a genuine interest in traditional Okinawa culture, music, dance, and who is motivated to learn and that have time to join us at our performances.

​

We offer children's Taiko practice, seniors Mai-shin Dance practice, Taiko/Odaiko, Sanshin Tai and Kariyushi kai practice during the same practice period.

​

We also offer friendship and emotional support to individuals and families from Okinawa, as it gives those a chance to communicate in Okinawa - Japanese and be part of the Okinawa community here in Washington State.
